On the approximately 250 mile journey, you visit 2 or more atolls, depending on which voyage you choose. All cruising is done during the daytime. At night, anchored in calm waters near an island, guests have the opportunity to experience the local culture if the island they are near is inhabited.

 

A diving trip on the Manthiri is a memorable one. Whale sharks have made the Maldives their home and it isn't unusual to see manta cleaning stations. This is a definite stop if you are into marine life photography- bring your macro and wide-angle lenses. All diving is done from a Dhoni. With 300 square feet of dive deck and a stable and comfortable diving platform, the Dhoni also has air and Nitrox compressors for refills onboard. Tank racks, 2 hot water showers and a camera rinse tank rounds are also on board. All gear remains on the Dhoni and is maintained by the dhoni crew. At the end of each dive, a warm towel is ready and waiting for your comfort. Up to four dives are offered daily.

 

Back on the Manthiri, guests enjoy the sophisticated cuisine with contemporary Eastern and Western flavors. Off-gassing on the large sun deck, hanging out on the comfortable couches in the spacious salon or downloading your digital photos onto the laptop are all favorite pasttimes. There are 6 cabins to accomodate the maximum of 12 guests. Each are spacious and have individual A/C settings. There is storage available, as well as a private minibar. Each room has its own ensuite bathroom with shower and plenty of hot water. Both your cabin and the salon are equipped with 220 and 110 volt electrical outlets. This premier liveaboard ofers either 4 day dives or 3 day and one night dive.
