MV Pacific Explorer II

Truk (Chuuk) Lagoon , Micronesia

The MV Pacific Explorer II is a well-equipped dive cruiser with two chase boats which allow divers un-crowded entry into exciting dive sites. With 40 mile diameter lagoon to explore, no dive site is the same. Truk (Chuuk) harbors over 180,000 tons of sunken ships, planes, tanks, and other war material from WWII. Not only historically significant, this wreckage has become home to stunning hard and soft corals, creating a wonderfully diverse ecosystem for aquatic life…a diver’s delight!

Don’t let the wrecks distract you from the diving to be had in the channels, or the barrier reef. These areas create the perfect habitat for rays, sharks, and other pelagics.

Eight open rinse showers on deck, a spacious sunbathing area, and a jacuzzi make the transition from bottom time to surface interval smooth and comfortable. The vessel’s 11 ensuite cabins are fully air-conditioned. Also available aboard is a lounge, entertainment area with tv, vhs, and stereo, library of books and magazines.
