International Superstars to Headline the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival 2010

GRAMMY winners, best-selling artists and musical legends combine to create a superstar line-up for Curacao’s first jazz festival

Willemstad, Curaçao – Grammy award winning singer, platinum selling artist and highly respected musician, John Legend, along with Grammy winning singer/songwriter, Lionel Richie, will headline the first ever Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival, September 3 - 4^th 2010. Legend and Richie are expected to wow the crowds along with music legends George Benson and Sergio Mendes as well as other international acts. The Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival will be held in the World Trade Center Curaçao, but will also include a number of exciting, vibrant and energetic jazz concerts all over the island a full week before the festival.

John Legend made his break-through with hits like “Ordinary people” and “P.D.A. (We Just Don’t Care).” In 2008, he collaborated with Estelle and Andre 3000 to release his third studio album, “Evolver.” The popular R&B and soul singer with the distinctive voice is a certified star, his many GRAMMY awards a testament to the success of his career.

International superstar, Lionel Richie, is best known for his unforgettable hits like, “All Night Long, Hello, Penny Lover and Dancing on the Ceiling.” He has his latest album, “Just Go,” with rhythm and blues superstar, Akon, among others.
