Buddy Dive Freediving Event
Buddy Dive Resort is proud to host the Buddy Dive Freediving
Event, May 5-19, 2012, led by Brazilian freediver, Karol Meyer.
JUNE-JULY, 2012Aggressor Fleet and Dancer Fleet Family WeeksFamily Week: Safely explore the ocean with your children this summer and enjoy supervised activities which are
designed to introduce the next generation to the world's oceans.
Following is a sample the action-packed week of activities:
- Snorkeling
- Scuba diving (youth 10 and over)
- Fish and coral I.D.
- Beach Combing, seashore creature I.D. and clean-up
- Small boat handling and fishing
- Plankton sampling with a microscope
- Underwater photography and video
- Water safety and water oriented games
- Local culture and customs
- Scavenger hunt
- Painting: 3-one hour sessions with painting supplies provided for kids and adults with take home print 13” x 18” (Rogest weeks)
- Poetry contest & photography contest

Family Week Charters:
Kids ages 5-10 receive a 25% discount and must stay in a cabin with an adult.
Kids age 11 and over pay full price.
Kids under 17 must each be accompanied by an adult.

Curaçao
North Sea Jazz Festival
Held at Curaçao’s World Trade Center on
Piscadera Bay, the jazz festival is among the best of its kind in the Caribbean.
Music performers for this year’s festival will include Carlos Santana, Ruben
Blades, Caro Emerald, Jill Scott and Buika, Randy Crawford &
Joe Sample Trio, Waylon, Paquito D’Rivera, and India.

Sailing Regatta
This is the 45th Bonaire
International Sailing Regatta. The event includes sailing classes, a
windsurfing freestyle competition, yachts, small boats and microboat races.
Accommodations at Captain Don’s Habitat, the Home of Diving Freedom, offer a
relaxed atmosphere with oceanfront dining, bar and pool, boat dives daily to
pristine dive sites and 24-hour unlimited shore diving. Drive ‘n Dive packages
available.

South Andros Annual
Conch Festival
This event combines indigenous cultural activities with
emphasis on the conch. To be featured are a blue hole conch diving contest,
conch races and relays, conch salad making and eating contests, a culinary
‘conch dish’ contest, conch-cracking contest, a Bahamian dingy-boat race, a
variety of local games for children, a conch preservation display, Junkanoo
performances, live bands, DJ’s and the conch dance contest.

Cayman
Islands Pirate’s Week
It’s the annual pirate invasion on the Cayman
Islands ~ the only event of its kind in
the Caribbean. Enjoy a fun week with music, street dances, competitions, games,
great local food and drinks, kids day, sporting events, Heritage Days, a parade
and, of course, scuba diving!
The festival kicks off on Friday night with a
party, steel pan competition and fireworks display. That night, there is a
Pirate costume competition, crowning of the Festival Queen and the National
Song contest. On Saturday, there is the mock “pirate invasion” from the sea!
Two old-time sailing vessels, loaded with pirates make a Saturday surprise
landing at the bowl-shaped George Town barbour. The pirates capture the
Governor as thousands of people line the streets to watch the event.
