MV Emperor Atoll Diving

To go scuba diving out here you should be comfortable with drift dives and be an advanced diver due to the local depth range. The Best of the Maldives itinerary includes: Rasdhoo Atoll, North & South Ari atoll, North & South Male Atoll, and Vaavu Atoll. Hanifaru & North trip includes: Baa Atol, North Make Atoll, & Lhaviyani Atoll. Pelagic Magic is all about the North & South Ari Atolls with eyes on mantas and whale sharks. MV Emperor Atoll has 4 other trips to the north, south central, deep south and an excursion devoted to sharks as well. The dives are done off of a 45ft long Dhoni/tender with an 18ft tender RIB zodiac as back up. Expect to get in 17 dives including one-night dive on this 7-day trip. Free Nitrox is available for those qualified, or ask about becoming qualified on the trip. There are 26 Atolls and 1200 islands out here. So, the islands are home to 1100 species of fish, 5 species of turtles, 187 species of coral, 145 species of crab, 48 species of shrimp, 21 species of whales and dolphins. MV Emperor Atoll will take you out to dive channels between fringing reefs. You'll also discover secluded lagoons, caves, overhangs, swim throughs, and even small arches. These small pristine healthy reefs are home to sharks, turtles, moray eels, and schools of fish.

Attractions and Activities

On the MV Emperor Atoll main deck is a large saloon with four tables. So, you can eat breakfast inside the Saloon. However, for lunch and dinner everyone takes their buffet style served plate of food and sit down to eat at the foredeck table, if weather permits. So, the Saloon has well as a 38" LCD flat screen TV with multi-system home theatre surround sound. Furthermore, for underwater video and photography enthusiasts, there is plenty of recharging points/edit playback facilities. So, WiFi is available when in range of a signal. Their DVD and book library include an interesting selection of marine life material. Above all, MV Emperor Atoll is fully licensed to sell soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits. Complimentary tea, coffee and drinking water are available throughout the day.
