Aqua Safari is the onsite scuba diving center. They use 1-35ft long boat, and two 38ft long boats. They do two tank dive trips in the morning leaving around 8:30. A 1 tank dive takes place in the afternoon. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday they offer night dives. Before your arrival to Cozumel Palace, you can also arrange private boat dives with Aqua Safari. You might say this gives you endless scuba diving possibilities. They also teach discover scuba, open water, a refresher course, and specialty courses. How about a night diving certification?
Most dive sites are within 20 minutes away from Cozumel Palace. Keep in mind, the majority of dives here are drift dives. You merely descend underwater using your BC (buoyancy compensator). Then drift along the reef. At the end of your dive, you use your BC to ascend back up to the surface. The boats follow the bubbles, then pick divers up once they surface. There are over 250 species of fish, and turtles, nurse sharks, and stingrays waiting for you. Cozumel Palace and Palancar Reef should be on every diver’s bucket list.
