The Palms at Pelican Cove Diving

The resort is about 10 minutes from the scuba diving centers in Christiansted and only about 20 minutes from Cane Bay. The south side of the island has all the wind and waves, so the dive sites are all on the sheltered north side. For an enormously long shore/wall dive that could take you multiple dives to see it all, we have to recommend a shore and/or boat dive at Cane Bay Wall, which starts at 40ft and can descend to 3,200ft deep. So, the other shore dive is at the Frederiksted Pier, which is covered with corals, sponges, seahorses, butterfly fish, and lobster. So, for boat dives, while staying at The Palms at Pelican Cove, there's NorthStar, Rust Op Twist, Captain Morgan (wall dive), Sea Mount, Davis Bay, Twin Palms, and Pavilions. The Wrecks at Butler Bay feature five separate wrecks. On the east end you might like Blue Chute, Sleeping Shark Hole, and Little Cozumel. There are almost 60 dive sites around the island and for some peculiar reason Gentle Winds and Love Shack seem to be more popular dive sites than Swirling Reef of Death.

Attractions and Activities

So, The Palms at Pelican Cove Restaurant and bar has a dining room as well as an open-air beach side pavilion.
