The name of these resorts says it all -- Magic! I have been diving for more than 50 years -- all over the world -- and I have never been treated better than at both of these resorts. The accommodations are great (except for the darkness of the room at Magic Islands, which I understand they are changing with the current remodel), the food superb, and the dive operation well organized. But the best parts were the people and the diving! The staff at both resorts are friendly, caring and made us feel like a part of a family. The resorts are small and intimate and the staff terrific. I have never been treated with more care -- on the water, under the water and on land.
I saw things I have never before seen, which surprised me because I have done a lot of Pacific diving. Diving with whale sharks was almost a spiritual experience; we saw many different nudibranchs and different colors of frog fish; the mandarin dive was everything we hoped for and more; and we saw mantis shrimp, juvenile sweetlips, schools of sardines, hot pink and purple anemones--I could go on and on.
The travel to and between resorts is long, but the transportation and arrangements all worked well.
All in all, it was an amazing experience -- Magic.
