The ship uses 3 zodiacs to drop divers off at dive sites, then follows them until pick up. For safety, they keep another zodiac on standby. The staff transfers all your scuba diving gear for you, so all you have to do is show up. So, they typically do 3 dives a day and one evening/night dive. From the MV Pindito you can see are over 1500 species of fish, 500 types of corals, and 15 species of mammals in these waters. Around Raja Ampat you will scuba dive around caves, caverns, tunnels, drift dives and muck dives. This area is great for macro photography. You'll see mandarin fish, frog fish, pygmy seahorses, and flamboyant cuttlefish. Around the Komodo islands you'll dive pinnacles, walls, and experience faster drift dives. Out here on the MV Pindito you'll have a chance to see pelagics such as schools of mantas, sharks, and baitfish.
A typical day consists of a continental breakfast before the first dive, followed by a hot sumptuous breakfast. Dive again, then have lunch, then dive again. After dinner, it's time for another dive unless you're already relaxing with an evening cocktail. The MV Pindito was retro fitted in 2016 and the camera room has plenty of space plus 220v and 110v outlets. When not scuba diving you can relax in the sun or go over photos in the main lounge. The lounge is also the dining area where you'll encounter savory Asian and International style meats and vegetables. Off boat shore excursions include hiking up hills, hiking with a park ranger around Komodo dragons, snorkeling with whales, or visiting a local village. Just viewing dolphins, whales, or flying rays is exciting too. The crew of 17 includes dive guides, stewards, and an onboard massage therapist.
