White Manta Explorer

The New White Manta Explorer liveaboard is a scuba diving vessel based in Indonesia. They have 14 cabins and accommodate up to 24 guests. This is a state of the art 150ft long yacht designed and built by divers. So, the question is, is this a steel hull ship, or a cruising hotel? All cabins have ensuite bathrooms and AC. White Manta Diving

They have 6-10-night scuba diving trips. Moreover, they have several different itineraries depending on the time of year. The pick up and drop off points will be determined by the trip you choose. Sorong, Berau, Ambon, and Manado are the main start up or end up points. Full sea days typically include up to 4 dives. Some of the island destinations include: Wailea, Batanta, Misool, Banda Sea and the spice islands, Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban island, and Sangalaki Island, to name a few. On these dives you may visit seldom seen walls and reefs. Meanwhile, you may view large pelagics such as hammerheads and thresher sharks. You may swim with schools of barracuda or trevally. So, you Might even discover camouflaged cuttlefish, frogfish or pygmy sea horses. With over 3,000 species of fish and 600 species of coral, no two dive log books will look the same.

Attractions and Activities

They have 5 meals a day and dining is buffet style either outdoors or in the indoor dining saloon area. All indoors are air conditioned. So, the saloon has a 52” plasma screen. Most importantly, they have and indoor dry camera room next to the dive deck. We should also mention that they have nitrox available and rental gear. Furthermore, they teach an assortment dive courses including Enriched Air/Nitrox. As for excursions, you may visit jellyfish lake, a village, or view turtles hatching. There are also plenty of mangrove area and rainforest to explore. Finally, you can relax on the sundeck in a lounger or read a book in the shade.
