Fort Young Hotel Diving

The onsite scuba diving shop offers 2 tank boat dives leave each morning right from their pier. Afternoon 2 tank dives can also be arranged for groups. The Fort Young Hotel custom-built dive boats are equipped with oxygen, safety equipment, marine head, dive ladders and offer a partially shaded area. You’ll dive walls, canyons, pinnacles, and ridges. The Soufriere Scotts Head  Marine Reserve has multiple dive sites. The most interesting has to be Champagne Reef with an endless supply of sulfuric bubbles. Swiss Cheese, Scotts Head Pinnacle, and  Dangleben’s Pinnacle have swim throughs. For night diving from Fort Young Hotel, try the critter capital of Rodney’s Rock or Newtown Dropoff, Sea World Pinnacle or Fort Young Flats.

Attractions and Activities

The hotel fine cuisine restaurant is Palisades. Warren’s Bar is the site of the Caribbean buffet on Monday’s and the BBQ buffet on Friday’s. There is an infinity pool and Jacuzzi next to the Pool bar and lounge chairs. So, the Compass Gym is onsite at Fort Young Hotel as well as Zemi Spa. More importantly, this is the Nature Island. So, prepare to do some birding to view the endemic Sisserou & Jaco Parrots, or take a guided hike in old growth rain forests. There are also 365 rivers and 12 waterfalls to see. So, you can also go waterfall repelling and canyoning. More importantly, Boiling Lake is the 2nd largest boiling lake in the world. Furthermore, there are 20 marine mammals out here from spotted dolphins to sperm whales, so whale watching is big too. Finally, there are snorkel tours to several places including Champagne Reef, or you can go swimming right off the hotel pier.
