Palau Pacific Resort Diving

The onsite Splash Dive Center at Palau Pacific Resort offers guided snorkeling and scuba diving trips. There are some 1400 different species of fish, and 700 species of coral found here. As a result, the sea life around these 200 islands is spectacular. Coral formations, walls, caves, tunnels, and blue holes, just add to the scenic backdrops behind endless schools of fish. Plan on exploring channels, tunnels, holes, walls, and even a cave or wreck.  Besides sharks, Groupers, and Napoleon wrasse, expect to see enormously large Manta rays. From Palau Pacific Resort you can visit German Channel where the mantas routinely stop by the cleaner stations. Wonder Channel is a wall dive for macro photographers. Ngedebus Coral Gardens and Ngerchong are also quite photogenic. Even better known is Blue Corner for its schools of gray sharks, eagle rays, turtles, and hammerhead. WWII shipwrecks include the Amatsu Maru, Buoy 6, and Helmet Wreck.

Attractions and Activities

When not in the water, visit the saltwater pond and view stingrays, fish, and clams. For that matter, take a kayak ride or take a hobie cat wave lesson. You can also go on a nature trail hike, view a waterfall, or go on a cultural tour. And when you're done with all that, return to Palau Pacific Resort and relax at the spa and get a message. The resort has two restaurants and they have music most nights. However, you can also enjoy the "King and Queen Dinner" with a private table on the beach. Or "Dining on the Ocean" at the private gazebo at the end of the pier.  There are also several bars including the new Sunset Beer Garden. Moreover, plan a tour to Jellyfish Lake which is a popular snorkeler destination.
