Author: Maduro Dive Staff

Dive resorts are situated near dive sites and offer a range of day and night excursions. Maduro Dive works with dive resorts in over 79 international locations. Here is more information about adventure-focused resorts for experienced divers:

Manta Ray Bay Resort

Yap in the Federated States of Micronesia features four volcanic islands, with around 130 atolls. Manta Ray Bay Resort provides an on-site dive center with boats to take you to local sites. This dive resort is ideal for divers seeking to encounter marine life, including manta rays. Manta Ray Bay Resort offers the experience of seeing manta rays at cleaning stations at Mi’l Channel and Goofnuw Channel. You can also dive with gray reef, white-tip, and black-tip sharks at Vertigo and see nurse, leopard sharks, and scalloped hammerhead sharks at other dive locations.

Our team at Maduro Dive includes experienced divers who are able to help you find destinations based on your dive experience and goals. Booking a stay at Manta Ray Bay Resort allows you to explore locations such as Yap Caverns and Rainbow Reef, which feature swifter currents and are appropriate for experienced divers. Yap Caverns offers opportunities for cave diving and swim-throughs, and Rainbow Reef allows you to watch mandarin fish and their rituals.

Volivoli Beach Resort

The Volivoli Beach Resort in Viti Levu, Fiji, offers 80 dive sites in the Vatu-I-Ra Passage and Bligh Water. Maduro Dive is able to help you select accommodations according to the number of people you are bringing with you and your personal preferences. You can stay in one of the 32 villas or choose a room.

Three custom-built boats are available to take you to dive sites throughout the day. These include Cannibal Cave, Blue Wall, Cathedrals, Bat Reef, and The Arches. These sites provide opportunities for various types of diving, including:

  • Drift dives
  • Wall dives
  • Pinnacles
  • Swim-throughs

Drift dives are an appropriate option for adventure-focused divers, as they allow divers to experience letting the currents move them through the water. You can also explore the E6 dive site. Local marine life includes white frog fish and large pelagic fish.

Anthony’s Key Resort

Wreck diving allows divers to explore downed ships, presenting a unique challenge. These act as habitats for marine biodiversity, including sponges and macroinvertebrates. Anthony’s Key Resort on Roatan, Honduras, offers the experience of visiting the Odyssey, one of the biggest Caribbean shipwrecks, or the El Aguila wreck.

This resort location offers accommodations in a hillside or beachside cabana. You can travel on a Pro 42 or Pro 48 dive boat to 35 dive sites. The boats leave in the morning, mid-morning, and the afternoon. Two days a week, night dives are available. The local dive shop allows you to find the supplies you need, including Nitrox.
